EMULSIONS

An emulsion is a product made up of a wax (natural, petroleum, or synthetic) that is dispersed (suspended), usually in water, with or without alteration of its original chemical composition, with the help of an emulsifier. 

The main function of a water-based wax emulsion is to take advantage of the evaporation of water, after the application of the emulsion, to facilitate the transportation of the active content (wax) and to ensure uniform impregnation on the treatment surface.
